Dr Adnan Tahir
Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon
Dr Adnan was raised in Manchester and was surrounded by medical professionals throughout his childhood. He grew up fascinated by the processes involved with reconstructing the body after injury or illness, and as an adult, chose to specialise in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery. The way in which reconstructive procedures not only resolved complex medical problems, but also provided patients with much needed optimism for a better future, was what convinced him to dedicate his life to this field.
After completing his MSc in Surgical Sciences at the University College of London (postgraduate thesis in Tissue Engineering), Dr Adnan was invited to present his findings in Munich, Germany, to the European Tissue Engineering Society. In 1999, he first started operating in this area of surgery. Now, he’s a Board-Certified Plastic and Reconstructive surgeon, and specialises in aesthetic procedures associated with the face and breast. In particular, he focuses on skin cancer, surgery on the hands, burns, and breast reconstruction. In fact, he originally started his career working with burns and cancer patients; helping people to not only recover from serious illness and injury, but restoring their confidence too.
Making people feel happier about themselves is of major importance to Dr Adnan. He specialises in breast reduction and augmentation, and enjoys knowing that he’s had a positive impact in people’s lives. Dr Adnan has carried out countless reconstructive procedures on the breast (such as free tissue transfer) and is now recognised as one of the Middle East’s finest breast reconstructive surgeons; especially for women who have had breast cancer.
In 2014, Dr Adnan was awarded DAFPRS (Dutch Association of Facial Plastic Reconstructive Surgery) fellowship. He spent three months working alongside surgeons in one of the largest tertiary hospitals in the Netherlands (Rotterdam), gaining invaluable insight and experience into Craniofacial and microsurgery techniques.
To date, Dr Adnan has conducted over 5000 operations, including over 600 aesthetic / massive weight loss surgeries. His diverse skillset means that he’s been able to carry out surgery to help those with injury to the hands, skin cancer, head or neck injuries / diseases, clefts, trauma and burns. He’s also carried out several paediatric and adult plastic surgery procedures.
He’s dedicated to ensuring that patients understand the rigours of the treatment, and making sure that they have realistic expectations about the surgery; while making tangible, remarkable differences to their lives. His focus is on improving quality of life, while maintaining the highest possible standards in the industry. Looking forwards, Dr Adnan aims to dedicate time to charitable causes; helping those who are unable to afford health care. He also intends to share his knowledge with local doctors working in challenging situations.
Through the course of his career, Dr Adnan has had several plastic surgery-related articles published in peer reviewed journals, and has presented at numerous medical events and meetings.

Dr Rory McGoldrick
Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon
Dr. Rory has over 17 years’ experience in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery having trained in the NHS in London teaching hospitals along with other numerous teaching hospitals in major cities in England, Europe, Canada and the USA. He qualified from both St. Mary’s (Imperial College London) and St. George’s Hospitals (University of London) in 2001 and 2002 respectively with bachelor’s degrees in Medicine, Surgery and Surgical Sciences (First-Class honours).
He is English board certified passing the Fellowship Examination (FRCS) in Plastic Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2013. In the same year he was awarded a prestigious postdoctoral Plastic Surgery Research Fellowship at Stanford University, California. His research focused on tissue engineering using fat stem cells and platelet rich plasma (PRP) and studying the changes that occur during the facial ageing process in terms of bone and soft tissues. Concurrently, he successfully completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in healthcare management from an NHS leadership award. This provided first hand complex healthcare systems management with strategic and operational governance experience through multiple NHS improvement projects with Dartmouth College, New Hampshire, USA.
On his full-time return to England, he completed further consultant level fellowship training in aesthetic (cosmetic) surgery, Laser and non-surgical anti-ageing treatments (all aspects of dermal fillers and anti-wrinkle injections) and microsurgical breast reconstruction at the world-renowned Royal Marsden Hospital in London. As a result, his experience is extensive and ranges from multi-region reconstructive surgery (after cancer, trauma and burns) to all aspects of aesthetic surgery and non-surgical treatments. In recent years, his personal interest has focused on aesthetic breast surgery, body contouring, non-surgical rejuvenation and the wider medical aesthetic arts.
He is an innovator and embraces new evidence based scientific methods and technologies to serve his cosmetic and reconstructive patients better each year. He is teaching faculty and an international Key Opinion Leader (KOL) for Allergan plc. As such, he travels globally teaching doctors anatomy and cutting-edge techniques through live treatment demonstrations to promote injection safety worldwide. Patient safety, achieving the highest possible standards of care and exceptional outcomes focusing on natural results are key priorities for Dr. Rory when seeing patients.
Dr. Rory has practiced in Dubai since 2016 and one of his passions is to bring world class breast cancer reconstruction using patients’ own tissues (DIEP flaps) for reconstruction to the MENA region.
His personal philosophy is that aesthetic and reconstructive surgery should be a very positive and life-enhancing event for every patient. It is vital however that patients are made fully aware of the expected outcomes, recovery and potential risks.
